Hello friend, my name is Yannis.
My introduction to astrology took place very early in my life, in my teenage years. The trigger, as I think happened with most traditional astrologers, was modern astrology. By buying a couple of books from the local bookstore that dealt with the modern approach to natal astrology, I tried to understand myself and others around me. Of course, I couldn’t understand that modern astrology throws you into the astrological world without safe lines of logic; the more vague and mystical, the more you are fascinated by it.
With the growth of the internet, I found some online groups that first introduced me to the world of horary astrology. I found it impressive that I could predict the course of a personal matter simply by casting the astrological chart of the moment I asked the question about it.
I was still a long way off and in danger of getting lost amongst the different opinions other astrologers offered there.
Buying my first traditional astrology book written by the Greek author, Despina Giannakopoulou, I was fascinated all over again. This book was followed by William Lilly’s manifesto of traditional astrology, “Christian Astrology“, which I was trying to unravel on my own, faithfully following aphorisms, even if they had no logic or contradicted each other. It was then that I discovered John Frawley’s True Astrology.
From there on, I follow his approach and lineage to astrology.

The truth is that I wasted a long time of my life on astrology websites, online groups, and forums until I consciously decided that I needed the guidance of an experienced teacher. At the same time, in my non-astrological life, I had already taken my degree in health studies. A couple of years later, I would prepare myself to enter the world of medicine.
The mentorship in astrology finally came under the warmthly guidance of Felipe Oliviera (student of John Frawley and Oscar Hofman). I am forever grateful to my teacher, Felipe, for his kindness in taking a raw material, like myself, in his hands and training it to the demanding principles of Traditional Medical Astrology.
Without wasting any time, after successfully completing my training in Traditional Medical Astrology, I continued my astrological training in the art of Traditional Horary Astrology with the world-renowned astrologer and author Oscar Hofman (student of John Frawley). After getting my diploma as a Horary Astrologer – Anima Astrologiae, I continue my studies with Oscar Hofman in Natal and Electional Astrology.
