TRADITIONAL HORARY ASTROLOGY

Here, you’ll find a brief overview of traditional horary astrology and its practical applications in daily life. If you’re interested in this type of consultation, you’ll find a selection of sample questions at the bottom of the page to help you get started.

What is the Traditional Horary Astrology?

Horary astrology usually stands out as the foundational cornerstone in the realm of the traditional astrology art and its practice sometimes falsely equates to the whole tradition. It’s imperative to note, however, that the richness of traditional astrology extends beyond the confines of the horary practice. Horary astrology serves as the initial and fundamental stepping stone in comprehending the broad spectrum of the traditional astrological practice.

The horary astrology is the astrological art of answering a specific question by judging the astrological chart cast for the moment at which the question is understood by the astrologer.

What can the Traditional Horary Astrology offer?

While primarily predictive in nature, with its ability to shed light on future developments, horary astrology also offers clear insight into present circumstances and past events.

In contrast to the vague and generalized predictions often found in modern astrology practice, traditional horary astrology provides clear and specific answers to the questions asked for all areas of life – personal, and when it comes with necessary interest, also public affairs.

What is the philosophy behind Traditional Horary Astrology?

Once the astrologer fully understands the question, an astrological horoscope is cast for that precise moment, giving rise to the question’s birth chart. The conception of the question occurs when the question enters the querent’s mind but it is only born when it is comprehended by the astrologer.

Why should you trust me with your question?

We live in a modern world where information travels at the speed of light. With just a couple of clicks, we can seek information to the other part of the world. Today, it is very easy for someone to post a horary question in a group or a forum and wait until someone answers it.

By sharing a horary question in an astrological forum or group, its significance is inevitably diminished. Your question becomes just another horary chart among many, buried under numerous others posted on the same day. Importantly, not all of these charts may carry the same level of importance or validity as yours; some people ask a horary question not because they are in need of a clear view over their matter but because out of boredom and curiosity. Some will ask only to make an impression. (I know their tricks, I’ve been there.)

Even in a hypothetical situation where someone answers to your horary question, the answer is based on an opinion or perspective of someone whose motives and education or previous experience are unknown.

Soon after, a slightly similar viewpoint is offered for the horary question you’ve posted but the person who shares this opinion is from a “modern astrology” school of thought. Then another opinion pops up but this time is not a close examination of the horary case but just a duplication of an authority’s opinion.

This will eventually lead to a dozen different, often conflicting, and distorted opinions of different astrological approaches within minutes. In the meantime, no one examined your situation by simply getting more context from you.

In Classical Astrology my priority becomes the client’s matter, consistently providing solid, concrete answers to what is being asked, based on my knowledge and expertise. The astrological art is not about being obsessive and following blindly the sayings of astrological authorities but a craft where every horary horoscope needs a unique approach.

So, you are 100% accurate?

None among us humans is without fault. We will be forever students of the celestial art. As humans wielding the tool of horary astrology, the potential for error is always present. Only the Divine is flawless.

Nevertheless, with the right knowledge from our teachers and our accumulated years of practical experience, I strive to minimize the likelihood of errors in the horary prediction.

Can you give me some examples of the questions I can ask?

Sure. Keeping in mind that your question must be as clear and specific as possible. A horary question may contain a maximum of two sub-questions which will be strictly derived from the main question. You can ask questions concerning all areas of life. If your question is not specific enough, I may need to ask you additional questions to clarify it and understand what is being asked.

A PRACTICAL HORARY EXAMPLE

” Will my husband survive? “

The querent was a woman whose husband was rushly admitted to the ER. He was around his 50s having a severe heart attack that led to cardiogenic shock. Because of this, the cardiologists had to put in an external pump to keep his heart pumping. He was in a very serious medical condition.

” Will my husband survice? What is his prognosis? “

The husband is signified by the Moon.

Saturn in Aquarius is the planet of the disease, pointing to an excess of the humor of Blood. According to Saunders (and as it seems logical) the excess of heat is at the beginning of the 4th degree, showing a dangerous condition and Blood is also mixed with Phlegm and Melancholy.

Before we get a look at his present, general condition of his health, and how this will unfold in the very near future, it is interesting to start with the condition of his heart as the chart perfectly describes the situation of the heart attack.

On the cusp of the turned house 5, the anatomical area of his heart, there is South Node. His house 5 is where potentials are limited and restricted, a result of his heart’s dying part. Hope is not completely lost though. Mars, the accidental ruler of his heart, is still in its triplicity. Unfortunately, Neptune’s affliction is startling. The mythical god of turbulent oceans and earthquakes pictures the shock the heart undergoes. An earthquake on the heart. Additionally, the danger is not gone at all as Mars opposes Jupiter, the turned L6 of disease, by antiscia. The heart is functional but still sick.

The physical health of her husband is not good either.

At the moment the Moon floats peregrine; his body is in a very weak condition. It is as if its body mechanics go aimless. This is kind of true if you think about it for a moment. His respiratory and circulatory systems are supported by machines. The Moon, having separated from Jupiter, the turned L6 of disease, is heading towards Saturn, i.e. death.

There is no improvement to the Moon’s journey. There would be no improvement to his condition.

Yet, there is something between the man (the Moon) and his death (Saturn). This is Venus, the turned 10th house of therapy. This is the heart pump. Is it a strong therapy? Surely not and it has no effect on his overall health. It is a last resort method, as shown by the cardinal Aries, to keep his heart pumping; Venus and Mars are in a strong mutual reception. This is only short as Mars’ change of sign implies.

He died almost within two weeks.
