Venus in Aries, 4/2/2025 – 5/6/2025

Venus is approaching the end of Pisces, preparing to shed its luxurious jovial gown and enter Aries, stepping into a martial suit on the 4th of February. This shift from Pisces to Aries represents a major change in essential dignity. Leaving Pisces, the sign of its exaltation, Venus moves into Aries, the sign of its detriment. This means that while Venus is in Aries, it will struggle to carry out venusian things. Because Venus will go retrograde, it will briefly move back into Pisces on March 27th before re-entering Aries on April 30th, staying there until June 5th.

So, what this transition symbolically means for Venus?

Venus is the planet of union on all levels—romantic, friendly, platonic, and as the natural significator of diplomacy, representing those who seek common ground to bring people together. Under the rulership of Mars, the planet of division and conflict, these unions face disruption. In Aries, a cardinal sign, Venus initiates new beginnings, making it difficult to maintain stability in relationships.

As the natural planet of harmony, Venus takes on a more combative and competitive nature under Mars’ rulership, the planet of aggression. In Aries, Venus resembles a warlike Amazon. It’s important to remember that Mars is also the planet of sex, and in Aries, Venus becomes more sexual. The difference compared to Venus’ other sign of detriment, Scorpio (also ruled by Mars), lies in the element. In Scorpio, a water sign, Venus becomes more driven by desire. In Aries, a choleric fire sign, Venus is more active, direct, penetrating, and lustful.

While Venus is in Aries, the formation of unions will not be favored. This period is more supportive of short-term connections centered around pleasure. Since Mars, the planet of penetration, rules Aries, it’s essential to be cautious of individuals displaying aggressive or predatory sexual behavior.

Venus represents love, while Mars symbolizes aggression, making this a time when instances of sexual aggression may be more prominent. As the planet of charm, Venus in Aries becomes raw and loses her grace. Similarly, as the planet of the arts, Venus in Aries brings forth a style of art that is wild, raw, and “bloody,” embodying Martian characteristics.

If you wish to initiate activities related to love, union, or beauty—areas ruled by Venus—it would be better to wait until Venus moves into its ruling sign, Taurus. From Taurus, Venus will be in a position to offer much more, as it naturally knows how to express its essence in this sign.
